CES on the Web

The 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off in Las Vegas in just 7 days (Jan 8-11, 2009). If you can’t make this year’s show, you can still get the inside scoop on all the electronics goodness when you surf to CES on the web.

I’m really looking forward to this year’s show as Palm is expected to give us our first glimpse at Palm’s next generation operating system, Nova.

i was reading in the new york post today (granted not the most reliable source for 100% accurate news) and in the tech section it stated that Palm would be showing a blackberry compatible phone(?) at the winter CES this week. I swear…if THIS is the only ‘newness’ that Palm is coming out with, i will be pissed and finally ready to jump the hell of the bandwagon (i think i’m pretty much the only one left anyway)now if the blackberry compatibility is included in ‘Nova’ well then all will be forgiven and even though i could care less about blackberry, i guess it couldn’t hurt.the info was in the January 4th Sunday edition of the Post on page 30

Hi James. Thanks for the tip. “BlackBerry-compatible” could mean a lot of things, including the ability to run the BlackBerry Connect software on Windows Mobile Treo smartphones. (Palm had previously released BlackBerry Connect for the Treo 680 before dropping support for it.)We’ll have to see if the NYP get their facts right or not. As far as I know, this is the first mention of of this in the run up to Palm’s CES event.Alan G
