Dear Allen,
I have been unable to download your podcasts from iTunes on my iPhone. Do you have access to an iPhone to test this out? The podcast will begin to download, but reports an error when attempting to “finish.”

My apologies for misspelling your name, Alan!

Interesting. There does appear to be something wrong with the new enhanced podcast feed. I’m not getting an error in iTunes on my Mac, but after the file processes, it is not available for playback. I don’t have an iPhone, I’m testing the feed in iTunes on my Mac.
What error message are you getting? When I posted the feed for show 207 it was working. Aside from adding new shows, I’m don’t think anything else has changed.

Even more interesting. If I go to the feed page and click (or tap) the Play Now button for 1SRC Podcast 209, the show starts playing correctly in FireFox 3.x.
It just seems like iTunes is having the problem with the feed. I’ll have to try a Windows-base podcast catcher when I have some time.

I think I may have found the problem. The hosting service that I use does not configure the .m4a MIME type on their IIS servers. I’ve asked that the .m4a audio/mp4 MIME type be added to my server so I don’t have to use the .mp3 extension on my .m4a files. I’ll keep you all posted. I hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

It looks like the issue with my hosting service has been resolved. You should now be able to download 1SRC podcast 210 from the enhanced feed found on this site from iTunes. I don’t have an iPhone so I don’t know if that is working or not.
